Adam David Pavan
July 1, 1999 - January 5, 2022
Adam passed away with his loving parents and sister by his side on January 5, 2022 at the young age of 22.
Adam was born in Waltham, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston, on July 1, 1999. He graduated from Mt. Carmel High School where he was an outstanding student and excelled at running. As a freshman he ran varsity track and cross-country for the Sun Devils. He discovered his true passion was rock climbing with a tremendous love for nature and the outdoors. Snowboarding adventures in Whistler and Mammoth with family and friends brought him unending joy. He also had a love for art and took great pleasure in drawing and watercolor painting when he wasn't scaling rock faces or studying biology and chemistry. He had recently transferred to UC San Diego to finish his undergraduate degree and had aspirations of becoming a clinical pharmacist, spurred by his experience fighting cancer.
Adam's bright smile, humor and positive outlook endeared him to many that crossed his path. His determination and optimism pulled people in, including so many of his wonderful caregivers at Scripps Green Hospital and UCSD Medical Center. His time with us was short, but he left an indelible mark of love and kindness.
Lovingly remembered by his mother, Andrea; father David; sister Rachel; grandmothers Roberta MacKinnon and Adolfa Pavan; uncles Roger, Gord, Gerard and Tom; aunts Rosemary, Colleen, Stephanie and Janice, cousins Jesse, Darryl, Matthew, Chelsea, Samantha, Braeden, Calli and Lucas. He is predeceased by his grandfather Ruggero and Auntie Joanna.
