Adeline Obeso Flores was born Nov 3, 1950 to Abelardo "Boots" Obeso and Mary Martinez Obeso. She died on March 17, 2025 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's. Born and raised in the Imperial Valley she was a graduate of Imperial High School and IVC. Previously married to Robert Flores of Holtville, CA she had three children and followed her love of the ocean to Monterey, CA where her beloved brother Andrew lived.
She is survived by her children Alexa Flores-Hull (John Hull) of Phoenix, AZ, Anthony Flores (Laurie Flores) of San Diego, CA and Audra Flores (Nash Mittelman) of Richmond, CA. Her five grandchildren Vivian, Nicolas, Blake, Nolan and Ryan. Her siblings Andrew Obeso of Monterey,CA, Virginia Schang of San Diego, CA and Aurora Schopper of Yucaipa, CA.
A dedicated city and government employee Adeline worked for the cities of El Centro, Watsonville, Monterey, San Jose and Scottsdale. She was a member of the Elks and the Italian Catholic Federation of San Carlos in Monterey. She loved reading biographies, traveling, playing bocce, eating chocolate, her various plants, flowers and water.
Services will be held at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary, Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 2pm. The service will be livestreamed. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Monterey Meals on Wheels in memory of Lina. https://www.mowmp.org/
