Adrian Lyles Hanna, age 90, passed away on July 31,2020 at his home in San Diego, California, where he and his late wife, Nancy, had resided for over 40 years. Nancy preceded him in death, passing away on August 11, 2019, after 63 years of marriage.

Adrian was born May 18, 1930 in Ruston, LA., the son of Robert Edward Hanna and Florence Lyles Hanna. He lived his early childhood life in Ruston and made many lifelong friends there. In 1950, he joined the U.S. Navy for the beginning of his 42-year military career, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars and retiring at the rank of CWO-4 (gunner). After retirement from the Navy he began his second career with a privately owned defense contractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nancy, four sisters, Mildred H. Yarbrough of Marshall, Texas, Edna H. Lehman of North Hollywood, California, Mona H. Ashworth of El Paso, Texas, Alta H. Belton of Lakewood, California, and one brother, Robert Murray Hanna of Highland Park, New Jersey. He is survived by one brother, Otto Edward Hanna of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and one sister, Nancy H. Oney of Marshall, Texas, along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Internment was at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA. A service will be held at a future date due to Covid-19, when family and friends will be able to gather together in a celebration of his life.
