Albert G. Costabile, 89, a San Diego area resident since 1985 passed away peacefully in his sleep with family nearby on June 25, 2024. Beloved husband of Jeanne Costabile for nearly 64 years, dedicated and loving father of Cheri (Bob) DeBusk, and Kimberli Costabile. He was cherished grandfather to Blake DeBusk and fond uncle of nieces and nephews with whom he enjoyed keeping in touch often. The care of family and friends was always at the forefront of his world, priorities and beliefs. Formerly from the Chicago area, Al spent the bulk of his professional life as a sheet metal mechanic in the construction trade working on the most prolific buildings in Chicago and surrounding suburbs. He also mentored successful apprentices in the construction trade. Al maintained inquisitive and wise conversations right to the end. He often spoke about  siblings Richard, the late Louis, late Carmella, late Gilda, late Gloria, late Teresa, and late Eugene. An outdoor service is planned 1pm July 5 at Dearborn Memorial Park Cemetery in Poway. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation in his name.
