Anna C.
Jones
June 25, 1933 – April 23, 2021
Anna Lucia Cutayar Jones passed away peacefully in San Diego, California, on April 23, 2021, age 87. Anna was a gracious woman of quiet strength and unwavering faith who will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, gracefulness, beauty and patience. She was loved dearly and will be missed beyond measure.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas McIntosh Jr; her sisters, Charlotte and Berta; brother, Gabriel; and her parents Salvatore and Zoe. Anna is survived by her children: Berta Isabel and husband Neville of San Marcos, Lucy Zoe of Santa Cruz and Douglas McIntosh and wife Paula of San Diego; her grandchildren: Daniel, Nathan, Hannah, Deborah, Amanda, Chelsea, Mac, Eric and Gabe; their spouses: Carrie Lynn, Heather, Mark, Andrew, Sam, Sam, and Amanda; her great grandchildren: Penelope, Adelina, Anna, Veronica, Wolfgang, Haden, Caleb, and Paisley; children she loved as if they were her grandchildren, extended family and many, many friends.
Anna was born in Athens, Greece of Italian heritage. Anna and Doug met in London, England while Doug was serving in the Air Force. Anna moved to California to pursue a career in acting and married Doug where they raised three children. Anna served in the community where she was given an Honorary Service Award by the PTA in Rialto, California, and she held leadership positions in the Girl Scouts for over twenty years. She also served joyfully at Calvary Chapel in Vista, California, and Birth Choice in San Marcos, California for many years.
Anna loved sewing. She learned the craft from her mother and blessed so many people with gifts from her hands. She made many of her own clothes and dressed with style. She loved to wear colorful clothing and to accessorize with dangling earrings and matching necklaces.
Another of Anna's loves was the ocean. In the summer, Doug and Anna packed up the kids and drove to the beach whenever possible. The smell of Bain de Soleil and sea water was the perfume of summer.
After living in California for over 50 years, Anna and Doug relocated to Moscow, Idaho. Though Anna missed walking on the beach, she loved meeting new friends and celebrating moments in their lives and praying for them diligently. After Doug passed away, Anna moved back to California and subsequently lived with her son Doug and his family.
A faithful prayer warrior, Anna spent hours serving others in prayer. Her faith in God was evident in the way she loved and served others. She enjoyed life, especially time spent with her family and friends. Everyone was welcome in her home and nobody left hungry.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, only a limited number of people are allowed at the cemetery. If you would like to attend, please reach out to one of her children to confirm availability.
