Antonino Avila, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Poway, California on June 15, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Antonino was born in San Diego, California to Francesco Avila and Barbara LaSala on January 4, 1934.  He lived his entire life in San Diego County, settling in Poway to raise his family.  Tony graduated from Kearny High School in 1952.  He was drafted into the Army in 1955 and worked for Convair, General Dynamics and retired in 1993 after 35 years.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Irene Avila; son Francesco (Andalena) Avila of San Diego, CA; daughter Barbara (Mark) Avila Lafleur of Buckeye, AZ; daughter Concetta Avila of San Diego, CA; brother Vincent Avila of San Diego, CA.  Grandchildren Roman, Andres, Brian, Sandra, Keri, Geena, Kiana, Shawn, Elaina, and five great grandchildren Logan, Cayden Kaylee, Makai, Natalya and fur baby, Freddie.

He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Tony's name to the American Heart Association.
