Obituary

Arthur Steve Bandoian
January 21, 1957 – December 28, 2021

After a lengthy and hard-fought battle with cancer, Arthur Steve Bandoian was laid to rest on Friday, January 7, 2022, just two weeks before his 65 th birthday.

Born into a military family in Frankfurt, Germany to Stolin Arthur and Connie Bandoian, Arthur, who was known by many people by his middle name Steve, grew up on military bases throughout the country. As an adult, he settled in Southern California after living in the region as a teenager where he attended Hale Junior High School and James Madison High School in Clairemont. A resident of Chula Vista and local businessman for more than 30 years, he owned and operated South Bay Bicycles in National City, Lemon Grove and Chula Vista. He supported numerous community charities and was an annual sponsor of several local bike races and BMX competitions.

His childhood curiosity and mischievous nature led Arthur, to become an avid traveler as an adult, visiting countries throughout Europe and South America, and deep-sea fishing and cross-country motorcycling in Mexico, while collecting lifelong friendships along the way.

A devoted son and brother, a loving father and loyal friend, Arthur is survived by his three children Mistelle V. Bandoian; Regina Ann (Bandoian) Sanchez, and Steve A. Bandoian; his grandchildren Cristian, Sebastian, Joseph, Gianna, Erik, Mia, Lilliana, Caleb and Joshua; his parents Stolin Arthur and Connie Bandoian; and his siblings, Sylvia Bandoian-Bonker, Terence M. Bandoian, Michelle Bandoian and Candace Bandoian.
