Belen Caduhada Cajes, 70, of San Diego, CA, died on Monday February 17, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Negros Occidental, Philippines in 1954 to Gonzalo and Jesusa Caduhada, the youngest of 8 siblings. After graduation, she moved to New York and started work at several NYC area hospitals as a medical technologist. There she was married to Felipe and had one child, Brian Cajes. She retired in 2018 and moved to San Diego to help take care of her beloved grandchildren, Ronan and Rayla, who were the light of her life.

Belen was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Gonzalo Jr, Hydee, Dolly, Rene, and Vivian, and many beloved cousins. She is survived by her son Brian (Kristin) Cajes, grandchildren, siblings Joel (Linda) Caduhada, and Teresita (Manuel) Del Puerto, and manybeloved cousins and nieces/nephews.

Viewing will be Thursday, February 20 from 4-8pm PST at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary in Poway, CA. The Rosary will be prayed at 5pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Ranchos Penasquitos on February 21 at 10:30am. Donations to Catholic Relief Services would be greatly appreciated.
