Beverly Ann Delaney (née Schwartz), 75, of La Jolla, CA, went to be with the Lord on October 17 th , 2024 after a near 2-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Beverly was born to the late Marguerite and Arthur Schwartz in Buffalo, NY. She married the love of her life, Bill, in 1974 and started a family in Laurel, MD. A few years later, Beverly left the cold winters behind and relocated with her family to sunny San Diego, CA. Beverly enjoyed a long and successful career in the IT field, where her expertise and dedication earned her the respect of colleagues. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she was a talented amateur painter and found joy in expressing herself through art. Her faith was a guiding light in her life and she was a passionate born-again Christian.

Beverly was predeceased by her husband, William Paul Delaney III, and brothers, Steven and Gregory Schwartz. Beverly is survived by her brother Arthur (Denise) Schwartz; two children, Lisa (Lars) Norberg and Ryan Delaney; three grandchildren, Laney, Liam and Noah; nephews, Arthur (Jill) Schwartz and Robert (Christy) Schwartz; and many grand-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Mertz & Son Funeral Home (911 Englewood Avenue, Buffalo, NY, 14223) on the 25 th of October from 3-6pm, where funeral services will also be held on the morning of October 26 th at 10am. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cheektowaga. The family will also be hosting a Celebration of Life in San Diego in the coming weeks.
