Bruce Alan Butler, born October 25, 1956 at Chelsea Naval Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts passed away in Poway, California on May 9, 2021 at the age of 64 years old.  He is preceded in death by his parents Delos and Joan Butler of San Diego, CA.  He is survived by his brother Keith Butler of San Diego, CA and his niece Tomasita Butler of San Diego, CA.

Bruce graduated from Clairemont High School in 1974.  He later became employed with the City of La Mesa for the Parks and Recreation Department as a groundskeeper.  He stayed with the City of La Mesa for several years in which time proceeded with studies in computer technology, which lead to his employment with San Diego Water Authority.

Bruce was a lover of animals, especially his dogs, Bear, Phoebe and Ricki.  He also loved to do carpentry and enjoyed passing his knowledge on to his friends and coworkers.  He was also a quite a good chef and loved cooking and wasn't afraid of trying new recipes.  He made the best jarred olives, which everyone wanted.

Most of all, he was a beloved brother, uncle and son.  He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
