Carmen Rosa Pratarelli passed away at her home in San Diego, CA on July 11, 2023, 5 days before her 98 th birthday. Carmen was born on July 16, 1925 in Buenos Aries, Argentina to Faustino & Maria Tomas.

Carmen was a devout Catholic and an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Penasquitos. She was a founding member and the first President of the Carmelites Lay branch at her home parish. Family was everything to her. She dedicated many of her adult years to providing childcare to others.

She is survived by her son Marc (Lynda) Pratarelli of Beulah, CO; daughter Roxana (Larry) Lewis of Arco, ID; son Gian (Moira) Pratarelli of San Diego, CA, and daughter Monica (Arne) Knufman of San Diego, CA; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Corrado and great-grandson Malcolm.

Viewing will be held at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary from 3 to 7pm, Thursday, July 20, 2023. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30am, Friday, July 21 st at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery following at 1pm.
