Carolyn Jane Healy, 62, born on February 29, 1960 in Washington D.C., died in San Diego, CA in April 2022 after a long illness.

She is survived by her daughter, Lauren E. Foultz of Port Hadlock, WA.; father James R. Healy of Virginia Beach, VA.; sisters Diane K. Azpiazu (Aurelio) of  Port Republic, MD., Mary P. Fullerton of Virginia Beach, VA., Joan M. Healy (Danny) of Floyd, VA.; and brothers James P. Healy (Connie) of Chesapeake, VA and Robert J. Healy of Olympia, WA. and numerous nieces and nephews.  Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Jane Healy and husband Joseph Foultz.

She served briefly in the U.S. Navy before attending Radford (VA) University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism.

Carolyn traveled widely throughout the United States before settling in her home of choice in San Diego, where she worked in sales and telemarketing.

She was noted for her sparkling, outgoing personality and zest for life, flavored with exuberant vitality and bubbling good humor, often jesting that she was only a quarter of her age by virtue of her leap year birth.

Carolyn was bolstered by a strong faith in God that helped sustain her through many health struggles.  Compassionate and generous, she always reached out to the underdog and less fortunate.  Kind and loving, and free of worldly travails, Carolyn Jane, who added Rose as her Confirmation name, now rests peacefully in eternal repose.
