Chris Francolla passed away February 19, 2026 in his home. He was born on Novemeber 23, 1950 in Teolo, Italy. Chris immigrated to New York with his family at the age of five and was raised in Queens with his two sisters. He joined the Marine Corps in 1967 and served in Vietnam as a Engineer Equipment Operator. After his military service, he moved to Los Angeles where he began a long career in food service sales. During his time living in LA and later San Diego, he worked with many chefs who admired him for his dedication and willingness to go above and beyond for his customers. Chris enjoyed running, biking, and birdwatching. He is survived by his daughter, Gabriella Francolla, and his two older sisters, Licia Mikulicic and Grace Maiwandi. Chris was buried with military honors on March 27, 2026 at Miramar National Cemetary in San Diego.
