Christopher Kenji Kusunoki passed away in Poway, CA on March 31, 2021. He was 26 years old. Christopher was born December 12, 1994 in Poway, CA to Sid and Karen Kusunoki.

Christopher grew up in Poway, playing competitive soccer with several local clubs and was a National Champion Finalist. He was also a starter on the Poway High team that won a CIF Championship. Chris achieved a 3 ^rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and won an ATA World Championship forms title in his youth. He attended Palomar College and was Captain of the Comets Soccer team. Chris was a ranked competitive FIFA online gamer and served as a Content Creator for Twitch. He also worked in food service at the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo.

He is survived by his loving parents Sid and Karen Kusunoki of Poway. CA; brother Joshua Kusunoki of Poway, CA; and paternal grandparents Kenneth and Lillian Kusunoki of Las Vegas, NV.

A private viewing will be held at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary on Friday, April 9 ^th . Private cremation will take place and his remains will be scattered at sea. Due to COVID restrictions for on-site attendance, live YouTube streaming of the funeral will be made available. Please see attached link.
