Christy Lee Larson Trowbridge, beloved wife of Truit Jay Trowbridge, passed away suddenly yet peacefully on July 24 ^th , 2020.  Christy had been a resident of the greater San Diego area for the past 32 years. She was born on October 15, 1964 in Chicago, IL.  Christy was cremated and her ashes will be scattered as the virus allows in places with cherished memories.

Christy and Truit lived in Escondido in their dream home with their two adorable kitties for 10 years.  When the weather allowed, they would swim, or hike in the surrounding mountains. They shared a love of nature and commitment to green, and enjoyed taking local countryside drives on the weekends in order to discover all that San Diego County has to offer.

Christy was an extremely capable and highly accomplished Director of Office Management at MEI Pharma, a rapidly growing pharmaceutical lymphoma cancer research and development company with 300 sites expected worldwide within a year.  At the time of her death, Christy was just completing the gigantic and challenging task of being charged with an office move to expanded quarters consisting of 33,000 square feet for MEI's new facility requiring the total buildout and furnishings to accommodate up to 150 personnel, all while in the midst of the Covid-19 virus.  Her overall design, layout and management of contractors as well as her attention to detail was highly touted, which made her quite proud of such an amazing achievement (even though it required many additional man hours).

Christy had been employed since 2003 by several pharmaceutical companies, first as an executive assistant with increasing responsibilities leading to the level of director.  Prior to that, her career began in the real estate auction area serving as Project Director for numerous nationwide auctions of scattered residential homes,  selling up to 200 homes per weekend under contracts with HUD, Fannie May and various banks.

Christy is survived by her mother, J. Penny Larson of Scottsdale AZ and step-mother Carol Larson of Harvard IL, her sister Jennifer Pahl and husband Lou of West Allis WI, sister Jodi Larson of Rock Island IL, sister Shannon Harkness and husband Dave Root of Roscoe IL, sister Maia Ingle and husband Addison of Charleston SC, and her brothers Daniel Larson and David Larson both of Scottsdale AZ in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.  Christy's father, Donald F. Larson predeceased her.

Christy was much loved, as evidenced by the outpouring of love and condolences already received.  She was smart, beautiful, happy, funny, caring, and sensitive with a constant sparkle in her eyes.  She was an accomplished hostess and enjoyed her role of party-giver several times a year.  At every friend and family gathering, the party began when Christy arrived with her exuberant and joyful personality.  She was an avid fan of Elton John and attended many of his concerts.  She loved to read (with Elizabeth George being one of her favorite authors).  Travel was another interest, with many fond memories of Door County, WI where she began a collection of Santas as part of her passion for maintaining family Christmas traditions.  She treasured the memory of a barge cruise in France with family and friends ending with a stay in Paris.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider making a tax deductible contribution to the Larson Giving Fund at the Arizona Community Foundation.  The family in turn will distribute all donations to charities Christy was supporting such as lymphoma cancer and the ASPCA.  The link is:
