Lt CDR Creighton E. Johnson died peacefully on August 22, 2018 in San Diego CA, after a long battle with cancer at the age of 87.

Creighton is survived by his daughter Jolene Cook of Orange Park, FL; his son Richard Johnson of San Diego, Ca and his daughter Joy Hochstein-Ragland (David) of San Diego, Ca.;  brother Robert Johnson (Carol) of Woodbury, MN.; Grandchildren Christain Johnson (Nicole), Tiffany Johnson, James Cook, Jeffrey Cook, Heather Hochstein and Melissa Johnson; Great-Grandchildren Alycia, Jenna,Tori, Dylan, Gaylan, Jack & Natalie. He is preceded in death by Agnes,  his wife of 53 years and his son Edward Johnson.

Creighton was born on Sept 12, 1930 in St Paul, MN to Edward and Avis Johnson. He enlisted in the Naval Reserve 31 Oct 1947 while still a junior in high school. He retired from the Navy 1 Sep 1975 and started his second career which he retired from in 1993.

Creighton loved to travel, see new places and meet new people. He fell in love with Germany after his first visit and was proud to say he had attended 15 Oktoberfests. In the past 14 years he was more on the road than home, staying at his 2 ^nd home in Mexico, visiting Europe or Asia. He will always be known for his big smile and friendly personality. He will be missed by his friends and family.

He was active in Masonry, was a member of the Montgomery Lodge, the Scottish Rite.  He was past worthy patron of the Order of the Eastern Star.
