Obituary

With the deepest sorrow, we announce that our beloved son D'andre Jerome Moots, 20, known by many as "Didi" has passed away.

Born on December 1 st , 2000 in San Diego CA at Balboa Naval hospital to Harold Moots 3rd and Cheneque (Gipson) Moots. D'andre transitioned from this earthly life on December 2, 2020.

D'andre lived his life with laughter and dance.  His face would light up any time he would talk about the dance group "Gravy Babies". D'andre was a member of the Mira Mesa High School dance team and an actor in the school's theater department. D'andre lived in the moment, practicing new dance moves and taking pictures. From an early age we knew he would be special. D'andre was loyal and loved to give his whole heart to anyone in need. Those who knew D'andre even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

D'andre watches over us to carry on his memories: Loving and devoted parents Harold Moots 3rd and Cheneque (Gipson) Moots of San Diego, CA. His two sisters Keyceana and A'mae Moots of San Diego, CA. Dedicated grandparents Harold Moots Jr, Joan Moots of Dayton, OH, Johnathan Gipson (Mattie) of Hinesville, GA and Esther Edison of Dania Beach, FL. Also cherishing his memories: Uncle Henry Rumph of Sacramento, CA, Aunt Maryanne Browne (Kenny) of Dayton, OH, Aunt Patricia Moots of Avondale, AZ, Aunt Tesia Allen of Atlanta, GA and Aunt Juliana Hosh (Dylan)of Hinesville, GA.  Followed by nine beautiful cousins: Amona Gipson, Kenny Browne Jr, Javier Gipson Jr, Alyssa Unger, Mikayla Browne, Elijah Unger, Jannerria Gipson, Madilyn Unger and Ethan Unger.

We believe with whole heart D'andre was received with open arms by his Great grandparents: Harold Moots Sr, Frances Bell, Patricia Bell, Bennie Gipson and Julia Gipson.  While doing back flips with his Uncle Javier Gipson and cousin Justin Stewart.

" The pain is great because we love hard. We will never stop loving, so we must learn to live with the pain". Loving mother, Cheneque Moots
