Diane Margaret
Sillari
November 2, 1945 – June 2, 2022
Diane was born and raised in Somerville, Massachusetts. She was the youngest of four children to her late parents, Alfred and Stella (Boudreau) Sillari. She graduated from Somerville High School in 1963.
Teaching was Diane's passion. She earned her degree in education from Simmons College in 1988 and spent several years working as a substitute teacher in the Somerville area.
She eventually left teaching to focus on her family. When Diane's father passed away in 1995, she moved to Vermont with her children. She later moved to San Diego in 2002 when her first grandchild was born. She spent the remainder of her years enjoying the beautiful San Diego weather and spending time with her family.
Diane always knew how to have a good time. She loved dancing and singing along to her favorite music (oldies but goodies), going to the ocean, and eating seafood. She enjoyed wearing the latest trends and was frequently spotted with pink or purple hair. Diane was a special and unique soul. Her spunk, sass, and strength will be greatly missed.
Diane leaves behind her loving partner, Luis Lopez and her three children, Laura Patriarca-Troyk, Scott Sillari, and Estelle Corey. She is also survived by her brother Alfred Sillari, and her grandchildren, Kayla Troyk, Thomas Darcy-Sillari, Anthony (Tony) Sillari, Alfred (Alfie) Sillari, and Hazel Corey.
Out of respect for Diane's final wishes, there will be a celebration of life in Massachusetts with close friends and family.
