Douglas Michael Stratton, 78, passed away in San Marcos, CA on January 16, 2025. He was born in San Francisco, CA on June 30, 1946.

Doug proudly served in the U.S. Navy before attending trade school and becoming a pipefitter. He later began working for the city of Poway as a maintenance supervisor, retiring after more than 30 years. He was an avid reader and volunteered many hours at the Poway Midland Railroad. Doug was proud to drive his restored 1986 Ford truck around town and enjoyed people talking to him about it.

Doug is survived by his daughters Deanne (Apurv) Kamath and Sinclair Stratton both of San Diego, CA; Sisters Rita Wilson, Teri Miela and Cricket Buffalo; brother Keith Wilson and grandson Ry Kamath. Sadly, Doug's wife Sharon preceded him in death a few short months ago in September 2024, and his son James in 1989.

Inurnment will take place at a future date at Fir Lane Memorial Park in Spanaway, WA.
