Elaine Jeanette Jones Cuff

1940-2018

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away suddenly on October 8, 2018.  She was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Floyd Jones and Imogene Hosier Jones. She married E. Lyle Cuff in 1959 in Cheyenne, and they were sealed in 1973 in the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Elaine and Lyle raised five children together in San Diego, California while Elaine worked as a caregiver. She is beloved and fondly remembered by all those she has cared for. Elaine loved San Diego and refused to leave the perfect weather. She loved when her family came to
visit, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed taking them to SeaWorld  and The Wild Animal Park.

Elaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, and served as a stake Primary president, Relief Society president, and ward Primary president. She is survived by her husband, Lyle, and five children: Gail (Tim) Osborn, Norman (Carrie) Cuff, Dawna (Brent) Olsen, Cathy Martin, and Amber Cuff; Eight brothers and sisters: Harold, Carol Sue, Dick, Pat, Claudia, Joyce, Donny, and Margaret Lynn; 22 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Ray, who was born on her 15 ^th birthday.

She was a hard worker and an incredibly loving care giver, and always made sure we "warshed our paws". We all miss her dearly!

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13 in Poway, CA. Elaine will be buried in the Miramar National Cemetery on Friday, October 19.
