Our beloved mother Esperanza "Espy" Crancer sadly left us on Friday December 8th 2023 in San Diego California. Her eighty four years on this earth were filled with amazing family, great friends, and rich experiences all over the world. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Espy was born in Quito, Ecuador in 1939 and came to the United States when she was a teenager. She settled in New York before marrying Alfred Crancer and raising a family in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Espy was someone who was larger than life and a big part of the local community. From hosting get-togethers and annual New Year's Eve parties to joining the local tennis clubs and befriending everyone. She will be remembered as someone who would do anything for you. From traveling the world, to cutting hair, and joining a folklore dance group, her adventure and desire to live a fun life allowed her to meet and make new friends which she loved to do.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Sherman (Catherine), Richard (Kasey) Crancer, Blake (Julianne), and stepsons Alan and Stephen (Michelle). Beloved grandchildren left behind are Gianna, Emma, Lily, Cora and Harrison.

There wasn't a person Espy didn't welcome into her home, her life, and into her heart. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 17th 2024 in the San Francisco Bay Area at the Piatti Restaurant in Danville at 11:30am.
