Eugene John Bencivenga aged 78 passed away in Escondido, CA on September 5, 2021.  He was born to Eugene & Amelia Bencivenga in Brooklyn, New York on April 16, 1943.

He attended trade school and joined the United States Air Force.  After the Air Force he worked at Digital Equipment Corporation, Global Marine Co., and The San Diego County Water Authority.  After retiring from SDCWA he started and ran a successful small business in San Diego.   He worked as an electronics technician and electrician for over 50 years in his career. A union Steward for Teamsters Local 911, Gene was passionate about representing his fellow coworkers to provide a fair and equitable workplace.  He loved Corvettes, his football team the Raiders, math, Great Danes and had a passion for all things deep space and the stars. A perfectionist at heart.  A man who was always there for his family and willing to help a friend in need.

He is survived by his wife Debbie Bencivenga, his children Robert (Lisa), Nadine, Dennis, Alyssa, and Alanna Bencivenga. His grandchildren Talia and Vincent Bencivenga, Jasper and Dakoda Gonzalez. His Brother Robert Bencivenga and Sister Millie Dunn (Greg). Nephews Dominic Bencivenga, Aaron and Jason Dunn and Niece Amanda Bencivenga. Numerous cousins and relatives. His two Great Danes Brody and Brooklyn.  Preceded in death by his Father Eugene John Bencivenga and His Mother Amelia Mildred Bencivenga.

Funeral services will be held on October 1, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Poway Bernardo Mortuary.
