Francisco Eduardo Hoyos passed away in San Diego, CA. on October 18, 2024. He was 84 years old. Francisco was born in Colombia on May 6, 1940 to Micaela Hoyos. Francisco was a family-oriented man.  He was a jokester who always had a witty comment for everything. He enjoyed listening to the radio, dancing and watching old movies. A lifelong soccer fan, he rooted for the Colombian and U.S. Teams. He worked for many years as a pharmacy technician.

Francisco is survived by his loving family, Daughter Maria Consuelo (Oscar) Resler of Escondido, CA; Son Francisco (Monica) Hoyos of Miramar, FL; sisters Amparo (Arjail) Galviz and Fany Galviz of Colombia; grandchildren Marcela (Christine), Alex (Natalie), Brandon, Jessica, and Carolina. Very special nieces, Carolina and Johana Delgado and Nataly Hoyos; nephews Alvaro Lopez and Cesar Hoyos; great-nieces, Gaby, Abigail and Macarena; great-nephews Felipe and Jose.

A funeral mass will be held at 11am, Thursday, October 24, 2024.  It will be held at the Resurrection Catholic Church, 1445 Conway Drive, Escondido, CA. 92027. The Inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Escondido at a later date.
