Gail Dean Brauchla passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026 at the age of 88.  Gail is survived by his daughters Diana, Kathy and Karen; his son Thomas, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Judy Lee (Fair) and his daughter Cheryl.

Gail was born in Huntington, IN on January 29, 1938.  He grew up in Angola, IN and moved to Fremont, OH his senior year of high school.  He married Judy Fair in Angola, IN on June 30, 1957.  By the age of 29 he had five children.

Gail was devoted to his wife and family.  He decided to move from the midwest to Rancho Bernardo in 1970.  He worked side by side with his father and brother for many years in the construction business, building many custom homes all over North County San Diego.  In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing, especially at the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo.

Gail will be interred at the Dearborn Memorial Park in Poway, CA next to his wife and daughter.  The family will be holding a private ceremony on Sunday, April 26th. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to send donations to the charity of your choice.
