Gary Ross Catania, aged 76, passed away on October 20, 2022, in San Diego, California, where he had lived for the past ten years.  Born on December 10, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the second of four sons born to Carmen and Marie Catania.   In the 1950's the family relocated to Covina, California.

Gary grew up in Covina and was a resident of the Covina area for almost 60 years.  In 1967, he was united in marriage to Cynthia Millard.  They began their married life in Covina and had two sons, Michael and Richard.   Gary worked in and was retired from the automotive sales business.  He was very much an auto expert and loved cars, music and singing, and had a sharp wit and sense of humor.   His greatest pleasure was in writing stories, drawing pictures, and being "Popi" to his beloved grandchildren, Alex and Kate, of whom he was very proud.

Preceded in death by his parents, Gary is survived by Cynthia, his wife of 55 years, his sons Michael (Sara), and Richard, his grandchildren Alexander and Katherine, his mother-in-law, Erma Millard, brothers, Phillip (Mary), Rick (Karen), Rusty (Kim), many nephews, nieces, cousins and good friends.

Burial will be at Dearborn Memorial Park, Poway, CA.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
