Gary Lynn Fitzgerald passed away in Escondido, CA on December 3, 2018.  He was born August 14, 1935 in Long Beach, CA to Wamon & Vera Fitzgerald.  Gary was 83 years old.

Gary served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Boxer during the Korean Conflict.  He worked as a Certified Public Accountant in San Diego for more than 56 years.  He loved to listen to Irish music, enjoyed playing Gaelic football, and was a wonderful dancer.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Jennifer Fitzgerald of San Diego, CA.; sons Gregory, Andrew, and Scott Fitzgerald all of the San Diego area; stepson Jason  Klungvedt of San Diego, CA.; stepdaughter Kristin Mallory of Dallas, TX; 11 grandchildren: Colin, Liam, Lucy, Renait, Sarah, Taylor, Ryder, Sailor, Paxton, August, and Emerson; and his many relatives.  He was preceded in death by his son Bryan on March 3, 2005.

Gary was a kind, spiritual, humble visionary whose shoes cannot be filled. He had a huge heart like no other, and will be truly missed by all.

A viewing will be held at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary from 4 to 8pm on Monday, December 10, 2018.  A funeral service will be at Trinity Baptist Church, 14315 Garden Road in Poway at 10am, Tuesday, December 11th.  Interment will immediately follow at Singing Hills Memorial Park, 2800 Dehesa Road, El Cajon.
