George Angell 12/25/1929 - 1/09/2019

Wednesday, our beloved husband and father, George Angell, went home, fully-restored to our Lord after 89 years on this earth. He was born in Chicago, Cook County, Christmas Day, 1929. At just 27 years old, after losing his father to Hodgkins Lymphoma, he took on a parental role helping his mother raise his younger siblings. George worked in the finance industry for 45 years as a lobbyist covering territories in California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii. An avid golfer, he played the game 4-5 days a week and was well-known at San Diego Country Club. He also enjoyed tennis and painting. George was a member of Retired Senior Volunteer Patrol and Knights of Columbus.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Estelle and John; brother, Jack and son, Michael.  He is survived by his wife, Judith; sisters, Carole (Jim) and Mary (Dean); daughters, Susan (Gary), Elizabeth, and Stephanie (Ken); grandchildren  Aaron (Meghann), Amber (Joshua), Anna, Bryan, Emma, Olivia, Kenneth, Raif and 2 great-grandchildren Emerson and Spencer.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30am, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Drive, San Diego, CA.
