Honorata Villas Zurita passed away in La Jolla, CA on Sunday, December 8, 2019.  She was born in Mindoro, Philippines on January 11, 1939 to Ciriaco and Juliana Villas.  Honorata was 80 years old.

She worked in the dietary department at Poway Healthcare Center for the past 14 years.  She was known for her cooking and loved to be in the kitchen.  She also enjoyed doing some gardening.

Honorata is survived by her husband, Narciso Lontoc of Poway, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Lowelyn & Roy Gachalian of San Diego, CA.; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Ledesma Zurita of Poway, CA; Daughter-in-law Johnalyn of the Philippines; and five grandchildren Jason, Justin, Patrick, Troy and Jash.  She was preceded in death by her son Richard Zurita.

Viewing will be held at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 4 to 8pm with a vigil service at 6pm.  A funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Brent Krueger at 11am, Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Poway.
