Ileana Magiari (a.k.a. "Nana" to many) was born on May 16 th , 1938 in Ploiesti, Romania to her parents Lucia Pop and Constantin Arvunescu. She grows into a wonderful young lady, who begins her graduate studies at the Institute of Architecture in Bucharest, Romania in 1955 at only 17 years of age. In her early career as an architect in Bucharest, she was co-author of a major cultural project that won a National Architectural Award.
Nana started her life in America in 1987, where she continued working in the field of residential and commercial architecture for over 15 years. Her main duty and joy in life, however was directed towards her family. Devoted wife, mother and grandmother, with an incredible drive of always persevering in something she put her mind to, she was a very strong, yet sweet and gentle, caring woman.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michaela and Costin Ene and two grandchildren, Mara and Nicholas Ene.
Inurnment will take place at Dearborn Memorial Park, Cemetery in Poway, CA at a later date.
