Obituary

Ingeborg ("Inge") Christina Clody passed away on March 16, 2020 in Poway, CA at the age of 81. Born in Rochester, NY on November 29, 1938, she was the only child of Max August and Christina (nee Ruehl) Kuck. After graduating High School she married Ken Clody and moved from New York to California to raise her family.

Inge and her husband Ken owned Country Kennels, a boarding kennel in Lakeside Ca., for more than 29 years, a family business which continues in the family today. Inge was also very active in showing and breeding German Shorthaired Pointers, a lifelong passion that left a profound impact on this breed that she loved so much. Inge was a member of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America (GSPCA) and also the San Diego Chapter (GSPCSD). Her tireless work and meticulous efforts on behalf of the breed earned her a nomination into the GSPCA Hall of Fame. Inge loved the outdoors and gardening around the house was one of her favorite pastimes.

Inge is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Clody of Lakeside, CA.; daughters Laura Nielsen and Leanne Farrell (Douglas) of Lakeside, Ca.;  grandchildren Kris, Caroline, Jillian, Kenny and  Chase; and great-grandchildren Logan, Ethan, Vincent and Reighlyn. Family was everything to her and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 5 to 8pm, Friday, March 20, 2020 at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary, 13243 Poway Road, Poway CA.  Due to her love of dogs, she would like donations in her memory to be sent to the GSPCA Heath & Welfare.
