Jane Morgan was born in New London Wisconsin to Beatrice Olivia Margaret Monsted Cartwright and William Hugh Cartwright on February 22, 1934. She and her three brothers, Bill, John and Jim, all grew up in Madison Wisconsin.

Jane spent her senior year of high school in Stephen’s College on a scholarship in Columbia Missouri, where she earned honors. Jane returned to Madison and attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. Jane entered the U.S. Air Force and worked as a physical therapist receiving commendations for her compassion and expertise.

Jane was stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force base in Ohio where she met Robert W. Morgan. Jane and Robert married 4 months after meeting in August 1957. Robert was soon after stationed in Wiesbaden Germany. They moved to West Berlin in 1961 and welcomed their first child, Lynn Ann. Jane and Robert moved back to the U.S. in 1963 to Rome, New York and welcomed their second child, Robert James. In1967 Bob was stationed at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and they welcomed their third child, David Paul. After Robert retired, the family settled in Rancho Bernardo, a suburb of San Diego, CA and raised their family.

Jane was an active golfer, a member of the Officer’s Wives Club and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) as she had many family members in the military.

Jane was an integral part of the community for decades. She was a successful real estate agent, President of the Swim and Tennis Club board in Rancho Bernardo for 8 years and a member of the RBSTC architectural committee.

Jane was well known and well liked in the community, loved her children, and was very involved in their lives with school and extra curricular sports. Jane was a member of the Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church and a devout Christian. Jane is loved by all her family and friends, and her legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Lynn Morgan Schulman, Robert J. Morgan, David P. Morgan (Jennifer) and four grandchildren, Taylor (Nick) Gonzales, Kyle Morgan, Jessica Morgan, Olivia Schulman, two brothers John Cartwright, Jim Cartwright and leaves many friends. Jane was a wonderful mother, loved by her children, family and friends. Jane will forever be in our hearts and her legacy will continue.
