Obituary

Joan had so much love, care and family support for her through the years with the many health issues and in her final battle with cancer.  It meant a lot to her that family came and spent time with her going through the family albums she had made and to see her in her final months.  She was always so grateful for and enjoyed her family and friends.

Joan was sweet, smart,  funny and determined.  She lived a long full life with many different chapters. She loved fashion and after High School she worked at Castle Rambler which was her favorite job.  She was married to her first husband Gene Fetty and was a devoted mother to their daughters Linda and Karen. They raised beautiful German Shepherds and together ran a successful Roofing Company. Through the years she would help in her family's insurance business and when she moved to Los Angeles she continued with         her career in insurance.  She loved traveling with her second husband Bob Hall and enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Idyllwild. Joan enjoyed bowling, fishing, going to the beach, riding bikes, scrapbooking albums and was good at gardening, doing crafts and sewing. She later retired and moved back to San Diego to be a caregiver for her brother John. She adored and loved her grandsons Devin and Wyatt and was a wonderful and fun Grandma.  She would gladly be there for you if you needed advice or wanted to talk whether it be for a few minutes or a few hours. She was always willing to support or help in any way she could.

The good times and fond memories we shared with her throughout the years will be cherished in our hearts forever.

We wanted to honor her life and journey by sharing the links to her Celebration of Life video:

Joan's wishes were to have her ashes placed in an urn and be memorialized at the home of her daughter Linda in Linda's beautiful garden.
