John Paul Cox passed away at home on February 5, 2021 surrounded by his family.  He was born July 16, 1941 in Clinton, TN to Everette and Florence Cox.

John served in the United States Air Force.  While stationed at Kirtland Air Force base in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he met the love of his life, Sharron Kyle.  They were married in Clinton, TN.

John is survived by his wife Sharron Cox of Poway, CA; daughters Susie (Brian) Golden and Dawn Cox of Poway, CA; grandson Jordan Cox of Poway, CA, Samantha Golden of San Diego, CA and William Golden of Poway, CA., and great-grandchildren Logan and Willow Moon.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Ryan Moon Golden.

A graveside service with military honors was held at Dearborn Memorial Park in Poway, CA on February 17, 2021.
