John Lane Pauly II passed away unexpectedly at his home in Poway, CA on June 24, 2021.  John was born in Sioux City, Iowa to John and Martha Pauly on September 29, 1945.  He was 75 years old.

John graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Cal Poly Pomona in 1972.  He worked as software engineer for NCR and Teradata for more than 40 years.  He served his county in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of the Poway VFW.  He was also a lifetime member of the NRA.

John is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Diane Pauly of Poway, CA.; son and daughter-in-law John Lane Pauly III & Melody of Lawton, PA.; brother Robert (Barb) Pauly of Vacaville, CA.; sisters Sandra (Clyde) Mosher of Burlingame, CA and Candace (David) Sutton of Bakersfield, CA.; and sister-in-law Sayyidah Pauly of Lancaster, CA.    He was preceded in death by his parents John and Martha and brother Steven.

A committal service with military honors will be held at 11am, Friday August 13, 2021 at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive San Diego, CA 92122.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name online at https://www.friendsofpowayseniors.org/ or by mail to Friends of Poway Seniors 13094 Civic Center Drive Poway, CA 92064.
