John Warren
Woll
November 12, 1945 – February 20, 2023
John was born in Sparta, Illinois November 12, 1945 at 17 ½ years old he joined the military and rose to the level of Navy Corpsman.
After only TWO WEEKS of meeting beautiful Molly – they were engaged! John and his bride Molly were married for 55 years!!!! Complete with 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grand child.
As a young boy – John became an altar server and has served his country, his family and God throughout his life. All his life – John lived and passed down his faith to his own children as well as his nieces and nephews. He was a spiritual role model to many and has left an enduring legacy of service, faithfulness and devotion.
His family was everything with God at the center. From a young altar server to a reader and a 4th degree Knight…John was active in the Knights of Columbus and wherever he could serve.
John was educated, had a strong work ethic and certainly lived life to the fullest. He was also a devoted sports fan! He loved the Padres, and the Chargers…and was an avid golfer. One of John's memorable highlights was - as a postal inspector - he was on security detail to ensure the safety - when Pope John Paul II came for a visit. It was John's great honor and blessing to help secure the Pope's surroundings.
John was truly the Spiritual Patriarch and role model for his family and many others. He lived his life to the fullest as he followed the path God laid out for him. R.I.P. John W. Woll.
