Obituary

Jon Marc McCord was born a brave little boy right from the start on May 13,1957, in Palo Alto, CA. He began his life with a congenital heart defect, and lived his first 4 1/2 years before it could be fixed. The operation to fix the hole in his heart was a new revolutionary and experimental surgery for that time, and he made it into the record books for the surgery's success. Jonny recovered from his surgery, and was finally able to become mobile, and go to school, and live his best life possible. He graduated from Homestead High School in 1976, and then attended De Anza College for several years after that.

Jonny had the best memory and could remember everything he learned about airplanes, history of the world wars, and all life events. He and his brother, Mike, loved building model airplanes when they were growing up. Jonny also loved everything about trains, and all of the Star Wars movies and characters. And, let's not forget his love of Mermaids and everything Barbie.

Jonny is survived by his brother, Michael McCord, and sister-in-law, Barbara, and nieces Irene and Holly; and his brother Leonard McCord of Mountain View, CA. He spent his last 10 months with his brother Mike and sister-in-law Barbara, who brought him up to speed on life in San Diego. He had so much fun, walking around the neighborhood, and enjoying the beautiful weather in San Diego. He loved to spend mornings, and early afternoons in the backyard soaking up the sun. His most favorite thing to do was to go have a burger and fries, for which he visited many locations in San Diego.

Jonny's family thanks him for showing them what true love and life is all about, including making them laugh so much with his sense of humor.

Jonny is now with his extended family in heaven, making them all laugh, and loving it himself. He so deserves this peace and freedom.
