Jonathan Wesley McDowell passed into eternity on July 29, 2023, at the age of 47. He was born in San Diego, lived both in Poway and Ramona, graduating from Ramona High School in 1995. He started a 25 year career serving the City of San Diego. The first 5 years as a Lake Aid, then he became a certified Grade T4 Water Treatment Operator for the next 20 years.

He enjoyed his younger years at the river with his friends and Jet Ski.  He entered Amateur Freestyle competitions earning him many awards. He loved to go Bass fishing with his dad in all the San Diego lakes. Jonathan was a Tom Petty fan and enjoyed attending many concerts, always right up in the front row. He loved his family beyond words.

Jonathan is survived by his parents, Mary and Edward, sister Cheryl, nieces Tanya and Holly, 6 great nephews, and nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be missed more than words can be said by us all.
