Obituary

Karen Sue Stutzer , 76, passed away in San Diego, CA on September 4, 2018.  She was born May 7, 1942  in Boston, MA to Max and Sandra Fischman.

Karen worked as a surgical dental nurse for more than 26 years while working as a Civil Servant in dentistry with the United States Navy.  During the late 1970's and into the 80's she was owner of The Brass Lass, which was a teak wood and brass furniture shop in Mission Valley, CA.  Karen loved to travel and took many world cruises with Crystal Cruises.  While cruising her husband was the golf pro on board.  She enjoyed her time on different ships while getting to socialize with the staff and crew that she appreciated so much.

Beading and knitting were two activities that kept her busy.  She was an avid reader and strong supporter of all animal rescue organizations.  Karen had a big heart for all animals, but was especially fond of dogs .  Along with her family and friends, she will be greatly missed by her dog Chedder.

Karen is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, William "Bill" Stutzer of San Diego, CA.  She leaves behind countless friends, who have become family.
