Linda Carol
Cook
September 22, 1946 – March 28, 2020
Linda was born in Millen, Georgia, one of 4 children to Robert and Grace Taylor. Raised in Savannah, Georgia, she loved the local beaches. Linda met her husband Colonel Dale Cook on another beach in Panama City, Florida. After much convincing, she joined him on a life-long adventure as as Air Force Wife. Linda earned her teaching degree from the University of West Florida and pursued a masters in speech pathology. She loved working in the classroom with children, until she became a full-time mother.
Linda was a loving stepmother to Richard, Kristal and Kerry. Dale and Linda also raised three children together Rico, Christopher and Catherine. The Air Force carried them around the globe including Florida, Illinois, Iceland, California, The Philippines and New Mexico. After bouncing around the world, she settled with her family in the San Diego area in 2000.
Linda lived life with grace and kindness. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and vacationing with her sisters. She was beloved by all and will be deeply missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
