Lynette Alice Kempton passed away on May 18, 2025, after bravely living out the final days of her life with cancer.  She was born on December 6, 1939, in Douglas, Wyoming, where she spent her earliest years prior to moving with her family to San Diego, CA. Eventually, Lynette lived in Northern California where she and her husband of 49 ½ years, Joseph Lee Kempton, raised their five children. Lynette enjoyed a simple life, and she found something to appreciate about everyone she knew. Her kind, honest words of wisdom have been appreciated by many. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she was very devoted to her family. Her profound faith in God's trustworthiness and goodness will be remembered by all who have known her. In humility, she lived life simply, gratefully, and bravely to the very end. Although Lynette is no longer present with us on earth, she will live in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her children: Kelly Wheaton (Jim), Kris Cordell (Tom), Kori Kempton, Karyn Kempton, Joseph Kempton Jr. (Brandi); her eleven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband, Joseph Lee Kempton.
