Lynette Lea (Lyon) Clauss, of Lansing, Michigan, left this earthly life on October 31 st , 2020 in San Diego, CA.

Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, November 4 th at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary at 13243 Poway Road, Poway, CA 92064.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 5 th at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary with Kurt Duggleby of Restoration Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Dearborn Memorial Park-Poway at 14361 Tierra Bonita Road, Poway, CA 92064 at approximately 1pm.  Arrangements are by Poway-Bernardo Mortuary.

Lynne was born in Lansing, Michigan to Jennie (Piskornik) and Wes Lyon.  She was proud of her Polish heritage and loved attending weddings and celebrations at the Polish Falcons Club in Lansing, dancing the polka and eating traditional Polish cuisine.  She attended Michigan State University in East Lansing where she majored in French.  Lynne worked in the medical and veterinary field for 30 years, assisting vets and doctors, and scheduling surgeries for injured athletes at the University of Florida in Gainesville.  She also loved her time working aboard the S.S. Norway cruise ship where she met many wonderful lifelong friends from all over the world.  She had a knack for making new friends everywhere she went.  Lynne was involved in her church as well as numerous charities and especially had a heart for needy children in Tanzania, Africa where she sponsored a young girl named Swahumu.  She traveled to Africa several times to assist in building a school, and to get fresh water to a village in need.  In her spare time she could be found watching college football cheering on her two favorite teams, the Michigan State Spartans and the Florida State Seminoles.

Lynne is preceded in death by her father Wes Lyon and her mother Jennie Piskornik Lyon Remington.

She is survived by longtime partner Sean Finnegan, daughter Rebecca Baker (Anthony) LoTurco, son Joshua Reeves, brothers Scott (Barb Grim) Remington, Mark (Nancy Bartels) Lyon and Dean Remington, nieces Breah Remington and Alex Lyon, grandson Jackson LoTurco, and cousins Eddie Kulpa, Donna (Kulpa) Queen, Kathy Piskornik Delaney, Kris Piskornik Smith, Karen Piskornik Anderson and Connie Piskornik.
