The Carucci Family is sorry to announce the passing of long-time San Diego resident, Marc Carucci.

Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1953 to his parents Louis and Pauline, Marc is survived by his brother, David (Marcia), nephews Andres and Eric (Lindsey) and great nieces Julianna and Daniella and great nephew, Luca.

He leaves behind a long list of close relatives, friends and business acquaintances that he gathered along the way and held very close to his heart.  Marc loved music, travel and art.  An excellent baseball player while growing up, he was a big sports fan who rooted for all teams in San Diego and those teams in Detroit that were a large part of his formative years.

Recently retired, after a long and distinguished 48-year career at United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego, Marc most recently held the position of Director of Fund Development and Public Relations for many years.  During his tenure, Marc designed and oversaw numerous successful fund raising events and marketing campaigns.  He took great pride in knowing that the important funds raised could be used to provide vital services to improve the lives of individuals affected by cerebral palsy and other disabilities throughout the community.

A funeral mass with take place at 10:30am on Monday, October 9th at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Poway, CA.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Marc's name to :  UCP of San Diego - 8525 Gibbs Drive, Suite 209, San Diego, CA 92123 or online at ucpsd.org .
