Obituary

On November 4, 2018, Marcos Jimenez was reunited with his mother and sisters in Heaven. He fought hard in his battle against complications from kidney failure with the support of his family. He was born in Mexico City April 16, 1957, the youngest of eight children. He moved to the US when he was seven years old, which is when he started planting his roots and building his legacy.

He met his soulmate, Loredana, in 1999 and shortly after convinced her to move from San Jose to San Diego with her son, where they began their beautiful journey together. They soon formed a small business out of their home, combining Marcos' 20 plus years of experience in dry utility design and Lore's affinity for details and passion for learning. Over the years, it grew into a thriving business that provided them the ability to support a large family and live life to its fullest. They married in 2012 in a small private ceremony in the company of their children, close friends, and family. Together they travelled to places like Cancún, Hawaii, and cruised the oceans. Marcos had a great love of golf, which he shared with many friends. Throughout the years Lore, in turn, grew to love it as well.

Marcos was known as a man of integrity, honor, and a man who loved his family above all. His capacity for love and generosity was unmatched, as was proven by his contributions to the community, charity and the way that he always welcomed people into his home and life. Not only was he an amazing father to his children, but he was also an amazing father to anyone that needed one. He imparted his wisdom on many, and offered guidance to those who needed it.

He is survived by his wife Loredana; children, Erik, Cristina and her husband Jeffrey, Marissa, Michelle and her husband Jesse, and Christopher and his wife Katie; two grandchildren, Adam and Parker; and siblings, Hipolito, Angel, Luis, Carlos, and Marissa.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St Gabriel's Catholic Church or the National Kidney Foundation.
