Martha Delores Killion, 85, passed away peacefully in Poway, CA on November 26, 2025. She was born on April 8, 1940, in Birmingham, AL to Herman and Sarah Carpenter.

Martha was deeply devoted to her family and loved each of them with a rare and heartfelt dedication. Her charm, warmth, and natural Southern hospitality were among her greatest gifts. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely cared for the moment they walked through her door.

Family was at the center of Martha's life, and she treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Alongside her role as a loving wife and mother, she built a successful career in sales, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike. Outside of her professional life, she found joy in her affection for animals, collecting cherished items, and preparing her signature Southern dishes that filled both the home and the hearts of those around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Dean Killion of Poway, CA; her son Dean Killion Jr. of Carlsbad, CA; her daughter Dyan Farmer of Poway, CA; and her beloved grandchildren Ashley, Sarah, Donald Jr., Dayton, Joshua, and Danielle. Martha was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Jean Payon in 2021.

A viewing will be held at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary, 13243 Poway Road, Poway, CA 92064. Interment will immediately follow at Dearborn Memorial Park, 14361 Tierra Bonita Road, Poway.

Martha's legacy of kindness, generosity, and steadfast love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
