Mary Elizabeth Myer, known as Elizabeth, passed away January 6, 2025, at the age of 94. Elizabeth was born in Athens, Georgia to James and Hazel Saye. She grew up in a large extended family and always loved to be around people. She met her husband Sven when he came home on leave from the Army one weekend with her cousin. They married in 1956 when his Army service was over. She quit her job at the telephone company, and they moved to Long Beach, CA, where he was a commercial fisherman with his father. Sven later left fishing and worked for Knudsen Dairy. They lived in Pleasanton, CA for many years. In 1984 Sven retired from Knudsen Dairy and purchased a dairy distributorship in San Diego, CA, West Coast Dairy Foods, with his partner Bill Allen. The family worked at the business together until Sven and Elizabeth retired.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers John and Jimmy Saye, and sister Barbara McLeroy. She is survived by her two children, Jennifer Myer (Jeff Annis) of San Diego, CA, and Steve (Laura) Myer of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, three grandchildren, Megan (Brandon) Maddox, Eric (Kinsey) Myer, and Jonathan Myer, as well as five great grandchildren.

The service and burial will be held at Miramar National Cemetery on January 31, 2025, at 11:15 am.
