Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Priscilla Naujokas announces her passing on June 28, 2021.  She was born December 29, 1939 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to George and Rose Jaramillo.  She married Victor Naujokas in March 1979 who preceded her in death in 2019.

The word that most comes to mind to those that new Priscilla would be "caretaker." She took care of her family.  She also loved gardening – she had a beautiful rose garden and delicious oranges.  She would sew beautiful ragdolls and donate them to children in foster care.  Her hands were rarely still – she was always sewing or crocheting.  She also shared her love for food with her family.  Everyone who knew Priscilla always looked forward to her cooking.  In the last few years, she would annually host a "tamale making party" and would teach and make tamales with the ladies in the family.

In this last year and a half of Priscilla's life, she was laughing, cooking, and enjoyed spending time with her sister Tillie.  She looked forward to family gatherings and holiday celebrations.  She would share her recipes and stories of her youth.  She also was one of the luckiest ladies you would meet and loved going to Barona to test that luck.

Priscilla had a strong belief in God.  She was a loving wife, daughter, and sister.  She is rejoined with Richard, Victor and her mother, father, sisters (Isabelle and Sally) and brother Sonny.  She loved music; especially country.  She had quite the record collection.  If you stopped by, you'd always catch her watching the Hallmark channel.  One thing for sure, you always knew where you stood with Priscilla.  She was a strong woman that would not hesitate to speak her mind.

Priscilla is survived by her sister Tillie and brother-in-law Buck; Nieces Pamela (David);Tamara (Marc); and nephews Orlando (Nilda); Richard (Stacy) and grandnieces/grandnephews – Cherie, Antonia, Cassandra, Maria, Felicia, Justin, Caelob, Marquel, Aiden, Brienna and Kainen.  She also had 2 great-great-nieces and 5 great-great-nephews.

A viewing will be held at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary, 13243 Poway Road, Poway CA 92064 on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 4 to 8pm with a vigil service at 6:30pm.  A funeral service will be celebrated in the mortuary chapel at 10am, Thursday July 15, 2021.  A committal service will follow at 12pm at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive San Diego, CA 92122.
