Nicholas Lawson Kavalaris

The family of Nicholas Lawson Kavalaris is deeply saddened by his sudden passing on May 1, 2026 at the age of 44. Born on March 18, 1982 in San Jose, CA., Nick grew up in Dublin, CA and had a passion for sports his entire life. He excelled in baseball during his childhood and teenage years and played during his college years and on adult teams. While traveling with his college baseball team, he fell in love with Southern California and moved to San Diego in 2004 where he attended and graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He also had a passion for the game of golf and played often.

While still in college, Nick began a long career with CED (Consolidated Electrical Distributors). Over his many years at CED, through hard work and his extensive knowledge of electrical/solar panel voltaic systems, he became a manager for CED Greentech.

In addition to other loving family members, Nick is survived by his wife Amanda Shotsky, children Hayden and Charlotte, parents Chris and Kenna Kavalaris, grandfather Kenneth Wells and brothers Matthew and Andrew.

Nick’s light and love can never be replaced, but we will try to reflect it for the rest of our lives. Nick brought kindness, joy and empathy to everyone around him and although the world is less bright without him and we will miss his hugs, we will always be grateful for the memories and love we shared.
