Nivek James Nicholson passed away at home in Santee, CA on January 1, 2024.  He was born November 4, 1999 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Raymond & Jennifer Nicholson.  Nivek was the oldest of 3 children.

He graduated from high school in 2018 and went on to attend the University of South Carolina.  Nivek graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology in May 2022.  He enjoyed computers and had eclectic taste in music.  Nivek loved to cook, trying new foods and mixing drinks.  He liked to experiment and come up with his own recipes.

Nivek is survived by his parents Raymond and Jennifer Nicholson of Santee, CA.; sisters Mackenzie and Zoe; paternal grandparents Judy Nicholson of Marcellus, MI and Raymond (Terry) Nicholson of Seymour, TN; maternal grandparents Terry (Keith) Dobrzykowski of Aiken, SC and Charles (Holly) Holton of Slidell, LA. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service officiated by Chaplain Dan Cole will be held at 10am, Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Poway-Bernardo Mortuary, 13243 Poway Road, Poway.
