Nolan T. Minder: A Life of Laughter and Love
July 26, 1989 - October 11, 2024
Nolan T. Minder, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 35. Born and raised in San Diego, Nolan left an indelible mark on all who knew him with his infectious laugh, quick wit and dark humor. He was thoughtful, kind and always there for those he loved.
Nolan is survived by his parents, Patti and Tom, and brothers Brandon Zywiciel (Gema) and Beau Minder (Nick Vivion), along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ginette G. Nolan, David J Nolan, Charlotte and Kenny Tharpe, and Joseph and Manuela Minder.
He leaves behind his most precious furry children Oliver, Frankie, and Beans, who were all adopted by Nolan. He loved animals so much. He also loved the beach and the mountains, had an eye for architecture and interior design, and enjoyed being outside whenever possible.
We'll miss so many things about Nolan: his colorful commentary that would make us laugh, his unwavering support of family, his readiness to lend a helping hand, his memorable laugh, his sharp wit, and his refreshing honesty.
Whether through his words or actions, Nolan had a knack for making people feel supported and cared for. He was kind, thoughtful and always there for the people he loved. He was an attentive listener and a steadfast pillar of support for his family, showing up when it mattered most.
Even as life took Nolan on many twists and turns, he always managed to push forward and stay positive. His easy-to-love nature drew people to him, creating a wide circle of friends who will miss his presence dearly.
As Nolan looked forward to new adventures after his cancer treatment, including a road trip adventure in a camper, we take comfort in imagining him on that great journey now, finding beauty and humor in unexpected places.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to an animal shelter in Nolan's name, or simply take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature and share a laugh with a loved one – Nolan would have liked that.
