Norma Camero Villaruz, 79, of San Diego, California, passed away on October 18, 2020.
Norma Villaruz was born in Bani, Pangasinan, Philippines on March 4, 1941. She graduated from Alaminos High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor's Degree from University of Pangasinan. After College, Norma worked at Mountain Province Hospital in Abatan, Bauko as a mid-wife. Norma made a lot of friends while working at the hospital and most of them are from the Baguio General Hospital School of Nursing. They would keep in touch over the years and become very close friends even though they lived far apart.
One day, Mariano, Norma's Father, sent an urgent telegram to Norma while she was working at the Mountain Province Hospital to come home for a family emergency. When Norma arrived at home, her father introduced her to Rosendo C. Villaruz, Sr., a Navy man coming back from deployment to visit his hometown. And the rest was history.
Norma was married to Rosendo C. Villaruz, Sr. on October 25, 1970; they were married 48 years.
Norma worked as a Chip Design Engineer for Burroughs/Unisys
Norma is survived by Arthur Villaruz, David Villaruz (Janis), Carolyn Curley (Jeffrey), Rosendo Villaruz Jr., and Darwin Villaruz (Sharon). Five grandchildren Jaime, Geoffrey, Vincent, Jacob and Samantha.
Norma was preceded in death by her late husband of 48 years, Rosendo.
She will be dearly missed by all.
